this is advice my husband would laugh at, because I usually don’t follow it myself: The week of your daughter’s 3rd birthday party for which you are making and baking all the food from scratch you may have to accept that the house will be lucky to see a mop or vacuum cleaner, similarly if every tile and mirror will be sparkling for your daughters party remember that there is great convenient party food available in your local shops!
Note to self : I don’t have to do it all every week
